My first Harmony123

In seventh grade, I joined Harmony123. It is a non-profit group of young musicians that perform music, create art and fundraise for charitable causes. Since there are musicians across the United States and internationally, we can all perform locally or through Zoom to reach senior citizen anywhere.

It was my first performance at The Mayflower Winter Park which is a senior living community in Orlando, Florida. We went after school with our instruments but a piano is available at both of the buildings.

After every member has played a piece for the seniors, we sing Happy Birthday to the residents with birthdays that month and give out home-made cards signed by the members performing that day. It was a really positive experience. It made me realize I could use my musical skills to provide enjoyment to others and to support charitable causes along the way.
